Due to Brexit uncertainty, our returns policy is changing. Returns will continue to be accepted. If the return is due to a warranty claim (e.g. if the item is defective / damaged / incorrectly described), this will be free of charge. You will be required to meet the costs of all other returns, this includes postage, transport, and any associated import or customs costs where applicable. Click here to read our Brexit update.

Due to unforeseen border closures, our returns process is temporarily disrupted. Please request a return in the usual way, indicated below. We will be in touch as soon as it is possible to resume European collections.

To return an item, please repack it in the original packaging, then contact us to arrange a collection. Our customer service team will provide further instructions.

However, please remember, items must be returned to us unused and in the original packaging within 90 days from the original date of purchase. Once we've received your item at simplehuman, we will gladly refund you in full using your original payment method.


If you would like to exchange an item, return the unused purchased product to us. In the meantime, you can immediately place another order for the item you want, or you can wait until we receive the returned item at simplehuman and credit your account.


Once we collect your product, it can take up to 14 working days (usually fewer) for the refund to appear in your original payment account. Refunds processed by PayPal may take longer.
