important Brexit update — changes active from December 21, 2020

Please bear with us, we are pausing shipping to some European countries from 21st December due to Brexit uncertainty. This means we've had to disable the checkout on our EU website. We expect this to be temporary and will keep the situation under review. Please sign up to our newsletter here to receive updates.

From this date we will still ship to France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. If you live in one of these countries, you will still be able to order from us. Please choose your dedicated simplehuman site using the country flag selector in the top right corner.

Returns will continue to be accepted. If the return is due to a warranty claim (e.g. if the item is defective / damaged / incorrectly described), this will be free of charge. You will be required to meet the costs of all other returns, this includes postage, transport, and any associated import or customs costs where applicable.

The best way to contact us is via our contact form. It may take up to four working days for us to reply to emails, but we are still here to help.

important returns information

Due to unforeseen border closures, our returns process is temporarily disrupted. Please request a return in the usual way, indicated below. We will be in touch as soon as it is possible to resume European collections.

how to return

1. Please repack it in the original packaging.

2. Click here to open the online returns form. Select "Returns & Warranty Claims" and then choose "Request a Return". Here you can fill in your details and submit your return.

Alternatively, select "Live Chat" and a member of our team will be able to assist you in real-time (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). Or send an email to [email protected].

However, please remember, items must be returned to us unused and in the original packaging within 90 days from the original date of purchase. Once we've received your item at simplehuman, we will gladly refund you in full using your original payment method.


If you would like to exchange an item, return the unused purchased product to us. In the meantime, you can immediately place another order for the item you want, or you can wait until we receive the returned item at simplehuman and credit your account.


Once we receive your returned package at simplehuman, we will send you a confirmation email. At that point, a refund will be issued to you for the amount paid for your item(s) using your original payment method. This may take up to 3 business days to show in your account.
